UPC: No International Jurisdiction for Infringing Acts in Non-Member States

The Court of Appeal addresses the territorial limits of the international jurisdiction of the Unified Patent Court regarding places of damage. Where the jurisdiction of the Unified Patent Court is established under Article 7(2) of the Brussels Ibis Regulation as the court of the place where the damage occurred or may occur, this provision does not confer jurisdiction for infringing acts in non-Member States of the Unified Patent Court Agreement.
