UPC Court of Appeal: Request for an order to lay open books

A request for an order to lay open books under R 1311.1 (c) and R 141 to 144 RoP constitutes part of the procedure for the determination of the amount of damages and compensation, which is governed by Chapter 4 of Part 1 RoP (see R. 131.1(c) and R. 141 to 144 RoP). A party filing such a request is liable for both the fixed fee and the value-based fee for the determination of damages (UPC 1 October 2025,CoA 681/2025).
