Paul Maierhofer is a European Patent Attorney. He primarily focuses on the drafting of patent applications and the handling of examination and opposition proceedings before national and international patent offices. He works on cases for Austrian and international clients, in particular in the fields of physics, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering.

Paul Maierhofer completed his studies in technical physics at Graz University of Technology. In the course of his PhD at the Institute of Electrical Measurement and Sensor Systems at Graz University of Technology, he worked on the development of a highly integrated particle sensor and gained experience with the patent system from the perspective of an inventor. Paul Maierhofer gained further professional experience as a technical project manager in the semiconductor industry.
